I found another book I'm excited about, Green by Ted Dekker. I read the first 3 in The Circle series, Black, Red, and White, quite a while ago and I didn't think there was another one, but it's my own fault for not keeping up on things. Anyways, there aren't many books that I absolutely cannot put down, but these books are so full of action that I didn't ever want to stop reading them.
The premise for the first 3 books, which can now be purchased in one book:
Three novels. Two worlds. One Story.
Enter an adrenaline-laced epic where dreams and reality collide.
Black - An incredible story of evil and rescue, betrayal and love, and a terrorist threat unlike anything the human race has ever known. A virulent evil has been unleashed upon the people of Earth. The only man who can stop it is Thomas Hunter, an unlikely hero whose life is stretched between two worlds. Every time he falls asleep in one reality, he awakes in the other. Soon Thomas no longer knows which reality is real. Yet it quickly becomes apparent that his choices in each world impact the other--and that the fates of both rest in his hands.
Red - In one world, Thomas Hunter is a battle-scarred general commanding an army of primitive warriors. In the other, he's racing to outwit sadistic terrorists intent on creating global chaos through an unstoppable virus. Thomas must find a way to change history--or face the destruction of two worlds.
White - Thomas Hunter has only days to survive two separate realms of danger, deceit, and destruction. The fates of both worlds now rest on his unique ability to shift realities through his dreams. Thomas and The Circle must quickly decide who they can trust--both with their own lives and the fate of millions. And neither the terror of Black nor the treachery of Red can prepare Thomas for the forces aligned against The Circle in White
Green -At Last . . . The Circle Reborn
The story of how Thomas Hunter first entered the Black Forest and forever changed our history began at a time when armies were gathered for a final battle in the valley of Migdon. Green is a story of love, betrayal, and sweeping reversals set within the apocalypse. It is the beginning: the truth behind a saga that has captured the imagination of more than a million readers with the Books of History Chronicles.
But even more, Green brings full meaning to the Circle Series as a whole, reading as both prequel to Black and sequel to White, completing a full circle. This is Book Zero, the Circle Reborn, both the beginning and the end. The preferred starting point for new readers . . . and the perfect climax for the countless fans who've experienced Black, Red, and White.
Green is released tomorrow, I don't know when I'll be picking this up, but it will definitely be on my amazon wish list.
Another good one by Ted Dekker is Blink of an Eye, it used to just be called Blink, but then they re-released it with the new cover and name, I kind of like the old name better. Definitely check this author out, he's got a lot of high adrenaline books.
