Kiss Me Deadly - Film Noir

Lately I've been really into film noir so I think I might do a series of posts on some of my favorites.
Tonight I watched Kiss Me Deadly, released in 1955 and based on the novel of the same name.

Mike Hammer a PI (all the best noir films have Private Dictectives) is driving along at night and a woman steps in front of his car forcing him to stop. She is obviously in trouble, so he agrees to give her a lift to the bus stop. They aren't driving for too long when a car pulls out in front stopping them, Mike gets knocked out and the woman, Christina, gets tortured. They are then both pushed off a cliff in Mike's car to make it look like an accident. Mike survives the crash and is determined to find out who killed Christina and why. Mike then follows leads throughout the movie to catch her killer, along the way he meets a few women who can't resist him, who couldn't resist a Private Detective? It's all very mysterious and the epitomie of the noir genre. For all those classic movie fans out there this is a must see. Filled with awesome lines like:

"Do me a favor, will you? Keep away from the windows. Somebody might... blow you a kiss"

"you were out with some guy who thought "no" was a three-letter word"
