GoodReads Summary:
Adopted by the Alpha of a werewolf pack after a rogue wolf brutally killed her parents right before her eyes, fifteen-year-old Bryn knows only pack life, and the rigid social hierarchy that controls it. That doesn't mean that she's averse to breaking a rule or two.

But when her curiosity gets the better of her and she discovers Chase, a new teen locked in a cage in her guardian's basement, and witnesses him turn into a wolf before her eyes, the horrific memories of her parents' murders return. Bryn becomes obsessed with getting her questions answered, and Chase is the only one who can provide the information she needs.

But in her drive to find the truth, will Bryn push too far beyond the constraints of the pack, forcing her to leave behind her friends, her family, and the identity that she's shaped?

My Thoughts:
It's pretty rare that I read the first few pages of a book and instantly fall in love with it, but that's what happened with this one. I'm not entirely sure what it was about this book, I think it was Bryn herself, I thought she was so bang on, she was fierce and fun and I couldn't help but like her. Bryn's family was murdered by a Rabid werewolf when she was just 4 years old, Callum the local alpha werewolf, got there is time to rescue Bryn, and she was raised with the werewolves ever since. Bryn has had to learn how to survive living with a bunch of overprotective, possessive werewolves. She grew up training with them, learning to fight and to stay strong, all while trying to keep her grades up at school and not get into too much trouble with the Alpha, which she has a habit of doing.

Things for Bryn start to get weird when Callum's overprotectiveness takes on a whole new level, requiring Bryn to have a 24/7 escort and a curfew at sundown. Bryn's dying to know what has caused this and manages to slip her escort and break into Callum's house. There she finds a boy/werewolf newly changed and she feels an instant connection with him. Of course this is what Callum was hiding from her as he's newly turned and hasn't gained full control of his wolf side yet.

Bryn must uncover the mystery surrounding this boy and the Rabid werewolf how changed him. Along with a scrappy band of friends they set out on a journey that will change their lives forever.

I got wrapped up in the setting of this book and the characters. The world was well drawn and I felt completely inside of it. I could not put this book down! It safe to say I will definitely by buying the next in the series and I would highly recommend to any werewolf story fan especially fans of Nightshade by Andrea Cremer.
